Ruth Tagg

Hello there! My name is Ruth, I was born in a suburb of Buffalo and absolutely love the city. In 2009, I came to Steps as volunteer where I met and fell in love with not only Steps, but with Benjamin Tagg. Now fast forward a few years, Ben and I are happily married and have wonderful son named Elijah. We are doing what we both love, serving the Lord and being a part of seeing lives changed.

Q: What is one challenge you face working at Steps?

A: For me, I would say balancing being a working mom at Steps. Because my office is right next to my home literally, I am able to watch my son while working. Sometimes it can be challenging when I’m organizing an event and watching Elijah, but with that being said it is fun working at Steps. It is full of surprises and challenges along the way that have helped me grow strong as a Christian.

Q: What is your role at Steps?

A: I’m the administrate assistant and communications coordinator at Steps. Besides doing that I invest my time in the community, particularly reaching out to the teenage girls.

Q: What is one of the really important things that God has taught you so far?

A: That you should never lose value in sharing the gospel or praying for someone. You might feel that it doesn’t make a difference, but it does! Sometimes we plant seeds that might take a long time to grow. Never lose value in prayer or sharing the gospel, its one of the most powerful things you can do in life.

Q: What’s your favorite kind of ice cream?

A: Anything with chocolate and nuts!

Q: What is your favorite song?

A: Anything by Casting Crowns. I love that band! Also any of Ben Tagg’s songs, especially the ones about me. Lol!
